Methods of Philosophy

Philosophical methodology or the methods of philosophy, consist of critical approaches employed to investigate fundamental questions concerning reality, knowledge, values, mind, language, and the very being itself. A philosophical method can be defined as an structured and ordered way of proceeding aimed at clarifying concepts, constructing, justifying or evaluating theories, arguments, or concepts.  Unlike the common experimental methods in the natural science, philosophical methods often rely on reasoned argument, critical reflection, conceptual examination, and empirical investigation. There isn't a singular method of philosophy but rather a richly developed variety of approaches across history.  Major Methods of Philosophy 1.
