Table of Contents Research Question How does contemporary fiction imagine communities organised without centralised authority? Objectives (1) To examine the ways in which contemporary speculative fiction constructs communities that operate through mutual aid, collective deliberation, and voluntary association independent of the state apparatus; (2) to analyse the textual manifestation of residual power dynamics and the continual labour required for the maintenance of non-hierarchical relations; (3) to evaluate the political and epistemological significance of these narrative experiments for the expansion of collective possibility.
