My Favourite Sitcoms: A List of Classic and Modern Shows

Since my school time, I have craved and loved sitcoms, and there's nothing that I love more than watching sitcoms. I have watched Friends like ten times already, The Big Bang Theory almost 9 times, and watched HIMYM 7 times so far. These are, of course, the classics! No debate there! So, I was thinking that I should share what I watch on my blog, and this list will keep updating with what I am watching these days, my favourite shows, or the ones I didn't really enjoy that much. Though people have different takes on this, since I had been used to classic sitcoms with background laughter tracks or the ones recorded before a live audience, I still feel nostalgic about it. Unfortunately, the trend is changing, and most sitcoms have stopped using laughter tracks, but such shows don't hit that nostalgic side of me.

Anyways, if you are also a die-hard fan of sitcoms, do share your favourites in the comments section below!

  1. Friends
Friends will always be at the top of my list! This is a show I could watch endlessly. Whenever I am out on a hunt for new sitcoms, and after hours of searching, realizing that I have failed, I always know that I can return to Friends! This is also the reason I am sharing this list. Maybe someone like me out there can benefit from it and doesn't have to spend hours searching and researching for a good sitcom.

    Already Watched: 10 Times
    Rewatchable: Highly
    Favourite Characters: Joey, Chandler, Phoebe
    Laughing Track: Yes
    Binge-Worthy: Yes
  2. Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang Theory is in no way less than Friends; it's just hard to compare both. I keep rewatching it every second year. I just wish there were an erase button in our minds, and I could erase it all and rewatch it again and again, which I still do, though knowing what the next dialogue is going to be takes a bit of the fun out of it. But regardless, it's rewatchable, and I rewatched all of its seasons last winter, as far as I remember (memory isn't really my strong suit).

  3. How I Met Your Mother
It's rewatchable, but at times it feels like they ran out of ideas for the plot, and the episode is all about revisions of scenes. But overall, it's worthwhile. I always watch it for Barney Stinson.
