Marxism Vs Anarchism: Key Theoretical Differences
Every philosophy that proposes to change existing order of things is required to first develop a critical framework to study the present problems, that is, in principle diagnosis always precedes prescriptions. Marxism and Anarchism both have their critical lenses and comparing these lenses is most suitable place to begin this comparison. After this lens of diagnosis, this article attempts to compare the prescrpitions, that is, solutions, and processes of working towrads these solutions within both ideologies.
The Critical Lenses of Marxism and Anarchism
Marxist critical framework posits some of the most important and fundamental questions for revolutionaries. These questions are concerned with economic exploitation (i.e., extraction of surplus value from labour value) in industries, and the resulting forms of alienation among workers, and power in the form of political capital (money) being accumulated by the bourgeois and the concomitant commodity fetishism.
